Animal Cruelty

Hi. Recently in our “Eco Connection” classes, we have been talking about cruelty to animals.  We have discussed ways to to help animals and things we have done to help them too. Did you know that even in the Torah it tells us not to be cruel to our animals?  It says that you cannot put a muzzle on you cattle while picking wheat, plow with a large cattle and a small donkey (because the donkey would struggle to keep up), and many more laws.  Since we do not own cattle and donkeys today, we applied these laws to our pets and other animals which we encounter regularly.
